Frequently Asked Questions
What is Stars of the Stage?
Stars of the Stage is more than just a performing arts program—it’s a place where kids discover their sparkle! We combine singing, acting, and dancing in a fun, professional, and uplifting environment that encourages every child to grow, shine, and express their true selves.
Who started this amazing program?
Stars of the Stage was founded by the one and only Mr. James—a dynamic performer with over 25 years of experience in the spotlight.
What will my child learn here?
Confidence, creativity, and character! Whether it’s musical theatre, hip hop, jazz, or acrobatics, our classes build performance skills and life skills. Every child, from total beginner to stage veteran, is welcomed and challenged at their own pace.
What makes Stars of the Stage stand out from other programs?
We don’t do cookie-cutter. Every child is unique—and we celebrate that! Led by Mr. James and a team of energetic, caring instructors, we use humor, heart, and high-fives to make every student feel seen, valued, and supported from day one.
Is this just about dance and theatre techniques?
Not even close. Sure, we teach the skills—but what we really do is build confidence, creativity, and unforgettable memories. It’s about helping kids find their voice, own their spotlight, and take pride in who they are—on stage and off.
Will my child get a chance to perform?
Absolutely! Our students shine in two spectacular shows each year—in December and June. These performances are more than recitals—they're joyful celebrations of hard work, teamwork, and artistic magic that leave families beaming with pride.
What’s the teaching style like?
Think engaging, encouraging, and full of energy! Our instructors teach with warmth and humour, tailoring their approach to each student. We believe kids learn best when they’re having fun—and when they know their teachers truly care.
What’s the mission behind Stars of the Stage?
We’re not just here to teach the arts—we’re here to spark a lifelong love for them. Our mission is to empower kids to believe in themselves, express their creativity boldly, and become the stars they were always meant to be.
